Anyone do this? Is it as simple as just feeding them raw meat? How do you know how much do you give per meal?

@Jouska
As you know this TB outbreak has never ever been substantiated to the Natural Instinct Venison food. The FSA disagreed with you and did test the batch of food.

Where is your info from? The natural instinct website quotes the FSA report stating that the venison used was not properly inspected and recalled the batch as they could not determine that it was fit for consumption:

Natural Instinct has been informed by the Food Standards Agency that our supplier of the venison offal used ONLY in our WILD VENISON NATURAL CAT FOOD 250g & 500g product has not had the offal inspected in compliance with the appropriate inspection regime for raw pet food

You also say:

however because of the presentation of the illness in the cat it was considered that the TB was from an ingested source this however has never been confirmed to the venison food.

If you accept that it must be an ingested source and accept that the raw food was the ONLY food that was common to all cats then How else do you think the cats contracted TB? There is no other explanation and it’s bizarre that you’re arguing against what is, quite frankly, common sense Confused

@Stillmonday
The issue sounds more likely to be leaking anal glands than a ‘poo stamp’ (great description!). Does she ever drag her bottom along the floor or nibble at her back feet/legs?

No not her anal glands, she's had those emptied and the smell was immense! This is not fishy at all, it's just a normal poo mark. Wish someone could give me the answer as to what can fix it :(

If she has normally formed faeces then she shouldn’t be leaving a poo stamp. It would indicate that either her anal sphincter isn’t closing properly or she has liquid faeces (or AG secretions) that are leaking out.
You could try wiping her bottom after she toilets (baby wipe) it should then be clean. Any poo stamping after that indicates malfunction of her anal sphincter.
Shat breed is she - is she docked?

She's not docked, she's a 13 year old lab.
We've tried wiping her bum but it still happens. What can be done to fix it?

It really dies sound like anal gland secretions rather than faeces. If it happens after you’ve wiped her bum then it’s clean. How often are her glands emptied?

It's not fishy though and it's not a wet watery liquid like when her anal glands leak, it's literally just a poo smear :(
Her anal glands were emptied 3 weeks ago but it's still happening every day.
