Does anyone give their dog vegetarian food? If so, which one would you recommend? I saw the thread below about insect food and that looks expensive and is not available in any of my local shops.

By insect food, you presumably mean containing insects?
That’s not vegetarian, is it?

So dogs are actually omnivores - which means they can eat both meat and vegetarian food“

Doesn’t omnivore mean requiring both meat and vegetable/fruit diet, not eating exclusively either or?

I am a vegetarian. My dog is not. I have the agency to choose my own diet, my dog is entirely dependent on me to make that choice for him, and I don't think it's fair to start messing around with his diet to the level where I am removing food groups he is clearly physiologically meant to eat when he doesn't have the capability to consent to that.

If you're worried about living ethically have a think about the fact that your dog is a living creature.
