If your dog pissed all over some merchandise outside a shop would you offer to pay for it?

Dh was all for apologising and leaving at that but I paid. Two beautiful cushions, couldn’t just leave them there with the poor shop owner, all covered in dog piss. And he’s a big dog. It was a lot of piss.

He’s never done that in his life. I bet some other dog had already pissed there and he just followed suit. So embarrassing.

My dog, peed up a mans back on the beach once, never been so embarrassed. He wasn’t very happy either!

I wonder how I can train battendog to pee on a new watch and some mascara...

If someone’s dog pissed on my child in a buggy, I would be furious! I can’t imagine what I would do as I’m really not confrontational, but I think a red mist would descend. I’m also intrigued about where the cushions were.

I live in fear of PestDog not quite realising that a sleeping sunbather is human and peeing on their head...

Sorry for the late reply, we’re finally home, we were about an hour and a half away visiting a lovely little town. Yes the cushions were low down, they were on a sort of a low metal rack standing on what looked like fake turf outside the shop. At least it wasn’t in my home town. I might never see the woman in the shop again!

I do usually steer him away from things I think he might be tempted to cock his leg up but it just didn’t cross my mind that he’d want to wee on soft furnishings.

I reckon it was that fake turf that did it. Some other dog has probably gone on it unnoticed before and left a scent.

You’ve all made me feel a lot better with your equally embarrassing dogs though.

MatMagnolia I choked while laughing at your post and my puppy came in to look at me, most concerned, so at least I know she loves me. And I'm glad she's a bitch.

ds1 once took a shit in a large toy car mistaking it for a potty. When he was a toddler - although I wouldn't put it past him as an adult after a night on the beer.
