I don't understand the title

GertrudeCB · 18/11/2018 11:04

Brown bread and what ?

GaryBaldbiscuit · 18/11/2018 11:06

tinned dog food, butchers tripe
what i am asking is - would this have upset her stomach as she has never had tinned food before?
or was it somethign she has eaten?
i just gave her a morsal of cooked chicken, lets hope that helps

I'd imagine it's definitely the change of food. Any time we gave our dog anything different it upset his stomach. If we run out of his food now we actually don't give him anything until we can buy it! Not worth the messy poos Shock

GaryBaldbiscuit · 18/11/2018 11:10

thanks ouch
i bought her some caesar dog food as a treat as shewasnt eating but i think i will withold that now.

that cooked chicken seems to have perked her up Smile

Ahh, yes , that could well be the culprit. If it makes you feel any better my boy got his paws on 1/4 pound of butter yesterday and had me up in the night to let him out for a greasy, runny stinky poo Envy~( not envy)

GaryBaldbiscuit · 18/11/2018 11:13

oh Envy gertrude

i could kick myself, our local shop had complete biscuits, but overpriced, since it is a small local shop.

You can't blame yourself- my boy has dried food normally but has tinned on Sunday ( DH likes to give him it as a treat) and he is fine. However if we try any other dried food than his usual he gets a bad tum.

GemmeFatale · 18/11/2018 11:20

Miss the next meal then plain boiled chicken and rice.

GaryBaldbiscuit · 18/11/2018 11:30

thank you

Next time, cooked rice or pasta would have been a better substitute than bread. I would suspect the bread more than the tinned meat as being the cause of the stomach upset.

pigsDOfly · 18/11/2018 13:03

Plain scrambled egg should be okay too.

Any change over of food should be done over at least a week so I suspect it was a both the bread and the tinned food.

GaryBaldbiscuit · 18/11/2018 14:59

She is still unwell Sad

but she was eating something while out walking.

Any idea what that was? Organic or something else?

pigsDOfly · 18/11/2018 15:17

I would stop giving her different foods and just let her have water for a bit.

If you're unsure what to do next do you have an out of hours vet you could ring just to get their advice? Most are happy to give advice over the phone.

MustBeThin · 18/11/2018 15:24

You said you bought her some dog meat as she wasn't eating? Was she unwell before you gave her the bread and meat?

GaryBaldbiscuit · 18/11/2018 15:54
