Thank you! Mum is 79 so he was her last dog. Fortunately DM, Dd, and myself all got to be there for his final journey. My mum said she wishes for such a peaceful passing when her time comes.. Sleep well Timmy ⚘

Good Night, grand old lad. Sleep well. Flowers

I'm so sorry about your little man. It's so hard, especially when it's relatively sudden (if not unexpected).

It's far too early to be saying this, but I fear I won't get a chance to say this later. If your mum is still in relatively good health but doesn't want the long term commitment of dog ownership, she could foster for the Cinnamon Trust - it's typically short term fostering of other elderly people's dogs when they go into hospital etc etc, and sometimes fostering of very elderly dogs who just need a comfortable bed and cuddles for a final few months.

missbattenburg · 21/08/2018 08:41

Peaceful, well loved and surrounded by family in the end.

Well done, Timmy. May we all have such endings.

God this has made me cry. He was adorable, rest in peace you lovely little chap.
I shouted at my dog tonight she ate the cat’s food (again) now I need to go and find her and cuddle her because one day this will be her and I.

I’m currently missing my dog, he’s in kennels, which he loves, and we’re half way round the world. This has made me well up. Sleep tight little man. Flowers

Mum2OneTeen · 22/08/2018 05:13

So sorry for your loss Thanks

Our pets leave a big hole in our hearts when they go!

MaitlandGirl · 22/08/2018 05:17

My parents have just lost their 17 year old cocker spaniel - like your mum they’re both elderly (79 and 81) and they won’t get another dog. It’s such a wrench and mum says she finally feels old now :(

Flowers for your mum
