Catfood treat for dog

Just reading a book on recall and it suggests a 'jackpot treat' every so often of some wet catfood.

Has anyone else tried this? Does it have cause any probs for dogs to eat catfood?

It causes us problems when BastardPup gets into the kitchen and snarfs the cat food but he seems to tolerate it!

well they certainly like catfood, even after it has been through the digestive systemd of their pussycat siblings, and covered in cat litter

If you don't like the idea of cat food, you could use a small ring pull tin of fish in water or sauce (probably not brine or oil!) instead

My dog is not usually food motivated but every time he visits my parents' house he makes a bee line for the cat's food bowl and slurps the lot up in one giant lick.

He's not allowed to meet the cat in case he does the same to him. Dog's a lurcher so it's quite likely.

Mine loves cat food! Not that we give it to him on purpose but he has been known to eat it out of their bowl or the bag!

When my mums dog ,who is very old and frail , is off his food she feeds him the cats food and he always eats it .
