We’re going on holiday Tuesday without my favourite girl Sad and I don’t want to go.

It’s a rearranged holiday from last year and it was paid for then so don’t want to lose the money.

Even though she’s going to her daycare woman who loves her and her best doggie mates are there I can’t imagine not being snuggled up with her at night. I am being ridiculously tearful about it (also got pmt).

I just want to stay here with her but I don’t think Dh would be too happy Hmm

DH and I always miss BiteyDog when we go on our 'no dog holiday'. It's heartbreaking to leave him even though he stays with his daycare lady who he loves and knows. However, I still want to see the world so I just have to accept that we need to leave him and by going to someone he knows, just like you are doing with your girl, I know he will be having his own holiday.

Once you are on holiday I am sure you will have a lovely time even though you miss her and think of the lovely greeting you will get when you return.

I've had to put my dog into kennels a few times - never for holidays although I'm hoping to get away some time in the future - and the first time I was so nervous about it, more about her than for me as she'd never been away from me before and there are only the two of us at home.

She was fine. When I picked her up she had clearly had a great time and even ran back for a second goodbye to the lovely women who run it. She didn't know them before she went there. Your dog at least knows the person she's staying with.

Go on your holiday and have a lovely time. Your girl will be fine.
