Dog crates for cars

Any suggestions for dog crates for cars? Do they need to be car make specific?

Off the shelf crates that are big enough to fit my dogs don’t tend to fit the car so I have a guard that goes over the back see to keep them in the boot. You can get crates specially made to fit - I suspect it’s a local small business type service but you could ask in Halfords I guess.

We use Ferplast Atlas dog crate. Think we have the medium one. Fits nicely in the back of our car, Skoda Yeti, but has also fitted nicely in other cars too
