Poor dog constantly being washed and ending up damp - are equafleeces the way to go?

We have a very shaggy cockapoo and love her shaggy coat for the winter but just lately with all the rain, she is being washed every time we go out, so mornings and afternoons.
The trouble is her coat takes so long to dry, the groomer says it takes her 1.5 hours to dry her!
So we wash her and towel dry her or blast her with the hairdryer, but when we touch her later, she is still damp.
I'm concerned now that she might end up with arthritis or something where she is damp so often.
We're all getting a bit fed up now with the constant washing and are looking at equafleeces. I don't like them but we're starting to think it might be for the best during this horrendous weather.
Has anyone got one and any thoughts please?
Thanks.

Why have I not seen these before? I have a springer who's always getting absolutely filthy and soaking wet. One of these would be ideal.

The other great thing about equafleece is they size them to fit the specific shape of the breed rather than just doing a Small, Medium or Large. Their website shows you how to measure your dog. You then put the measurements into a calculator thing and it tells you which size you need. We put our dog's sizing into the calculator and it couldn't work it out at all (very long basset hound) so we rang up and they suggested a size for us. It was for a completely different breed but does the job perfectly.

Just to let you know that a cornflower summer suit is on it's way as we speak! Thanks you all so much for your help.

SweetTalk - what are "hotspots" please?

Hotspots are sores, caused by the dog fussing at a slight irritation until it becomes a vicious circle.

Thanks Pickle, I didn't know about that.

MrsJoshDun I have now bought a summer suit after reading your post! Although my dogs fleece suit fits perfectly the new suit is far too long on the legs. My dog looks around the same size as yours - what did you do? I tried just folding them up but they came down when she ran.

Yourownpersonaljesus - why don't you try phoning the Equafleece company, I've been told they're very helpful. I seem to remember somebody said you can cut the legs and the material won't fray - but best to check!
We had our dog clipped short yesterday, ready for this heatwave we're supposed to be getting!
We're going to attempt to get her equafleece on today, just to try it out as hopefully we won't need it for a while. I don't think she'll be very happy!

Thanks Cannot. I called them yesterday and they said you can just cut them - so I did! Seems to be fine. The summer suit seems perfect for this weather. She decided to roll in something gross yesterday and it ended up on the suit and not her.

That's good that you can just cut them to size, makes life so much easier.
That was handy having the suit on yesterday then, easier to wash the suit than the dog!
What colour did you go for?

I went for cherry red. And very lovely she looks in it too! The summer suit is more stretchy than the fleece one so it's easier to put on.

You're lucky Random, I'm dreading trying to get ours on, and then she'll just stand there giving us the evil eye!

Cherry red sounds lovely, I bet your dog looks very smart!

TBF DDog hates any temperature but tropical heat and dry, she wears her to bed at night and outside...

Question for you all.....how does the dog pee while wearing them?
I have a male dog and he manages to pee on coats unless they have just a tiny strap underneath and then they won’t stay on properly!

There's an open bit underneath. You can kind of see it in the pictures below from the Equafleece website.
