Can you give a puppy chews?

We have a 10 week old puppy. She is lovely and tries to chew everything in sight. Are there any chews we can give puppies at this age? I have tried a puppy Kong but she has not shown much interest in it. I tried it once with peanut butter and once with her dry food in it.

I used a split antler ( must be split - a whole one is too hard for puppies). He loved it. Also I think pizzles are suitable.

You can buy puppy dental chews. The Kong took mine some time to work out. He didn't like the nut butter and kibble is boring. Try canned tuna or cooked chicken (make sure it is cooked plain). Even then he struggled to work out how to get the stuff out.

Mine also likes raw carrot and an apple (I cut a few holes in the apple to get him started or he doesn't know it is yummy inside). He also enjoyed ripping a savoy cabbage leaf to bits. He threw a sprout around happily.
I now have some dehydrated chicken strips that are suitable for puppies over 4 months (he is just about 4 months) and they are great. Also try puppy nyla bones - he likes them too.

Please don't give antler chews even split. My friends lurcher puppy broke one of his teeth on a split antler. I've only ever had adult dogs so don't have a specific suggestion but my vet advises not to give a chew that you can't dent with your fingernail as otherwise they might be too hard for your dog.

I gave my dog carrot sticks that had been in the freezer when she was teething. You can also get proper puppy teething toys that go in the fridge. They are usually the nylabone brand.

My puppies like paddywhack and the clearish brown puppy Nylabones - no one seems to chew the other ones

Do read the ingredients on these dental chews - some of them are utter shit (Dentastix, I'm looking at you) with no value for nutrition or dental health.

I opt for the pure dehydrated meat ones - pizzle sticks, dried tripe, auricles, etc which always go down well

My pup love these fish skin chews. They smell but not as bad a bulls pizzle which was another option

Check the labels because some things will say 'for puppies' and will actually be for puppies over 4 months! Pizzles are great and ours lasted over a week :) also there's a brand that does 100% dried fish rolls which are great too, both absolutely stink though!
