She is 9years old and, if we are lucky enough to be accepted, she will join us in January. I am assuming there will be a home visit from the Rescue Centre. So far I have moved any food from lower kitchen cabinets to a higher ones . Have moved cleaning products out of reach and put all medication in a locked box.

I would love a list of any thing else I should be aware of. Also what to buy once we know she is definitely ours.

What breed is she and how long has she been in rescue for? I love older dogs.

She is a Patterjack. The owner died so she has been there since October.

Look at your garden from a terrier's point of view - are there any potential escape routes ? :)
A 9 year old can usually fit in so easily.
She just needs a nice bed or two and to be be shown which door to go to if she needs out. In a few days you'll feel like she's always been there!

Awwwww bless her, she's probably quite confused about it all, the sooner she gets to yours the better.

Things to buy, bowls, bed and a few toys for now.
