Waiting to hear back about a rescue pup

Filled in application form and subject to home check and meeting pup at the foster home looks like we're good to go. Have had an email to say foster mum will be in touch and am now frankly beside myself with nervous anticipation!

Have been searching for a rescue dog that would suit our family for months and months. Obviously it's not a completely done deal and frankly the suspense is killing me.

Absolutely no point to this post other than to stop myself pacing around like a caged bear all night waiting for the phone to ring.

Please distract me with delightful rescue dog stories and pictures.

New puppy, so exciting.

Here are my gorgeous rescue dogs! The grey one is Girldog and the white one Boydog.

They Are both foster fails with horrible pasts - GirlDog was abandoned to starve to death alone in an apartment when her owners moved fortunately the neighbors figured out she was in there after a couple of days and took her in, but they were being evicted and couldn't keep her. She went to a temp foster home and then to me. DH was adamant he didn't want a dog, but one look in her big brown eyes and he was a goner

Boydog was found dumped on the streets of Los Angles as a 10 month old puppy. We got him as a foster after he was in an airlift to NYC, but the rescue had nowhere for him to go. When we got him he was skeletal, flea ridden and so terrified he couldn't walk he was shaking so hard. We brought him home and GirlDog was delighted by him. She thought we'd got her a pet. She even helped us houstrain him he's honestly probably not the right dog for our lifestyle, but she loved him so much he had to stay.
