My 9 month old labradoodle has, after a 45 minute walk and play session only slept for 45 minutes. Woke, puked on rug due to eating burrs then tried to eat fibres of rug. Chewed stair gate, blanket and has eaten a tea bag. She is now manic..

I feel your pain. My seven month old cavalier has had similar day, but included trying to eat bees (new and exciting way to cost me several hundred quid at the vets, he's building his repertoire), endlessly dug the covers off the sofa, got through the carefully put up barrier preventing him getting to an unsafe part of the garden and got covered in burrs, jumped up and down and flapped to prevent me removing said burrs. Pulled the heads off flowers in my dm's garden, chased the cats, wiped himself carefully on the inside of an empty but damp planter to ensure both ears, muzzle and front paws were thick with mud, and tried hard to fall in the pond. I managed to thwart that one.

He has had one long outing/walk in which he swung around on his lead like a kite and ignored me totally, one medium sized walk and multiple short ones; several play sessions and training sessions to try to knacker the little horror out a bit, several food puzzle toys and boxes/bottles to chase around, and only stopped for two naps, both of which lasted at most ten minutes. He got put to bed in his crate at 8pm, I couldn't take any more. It's like living with Just William!
