Come and recommend a new bed for DDog

Ddog is about 8. She's a rescued ex puppy farm breeder. We knew when we adopted her her legs weren't in great condition, she had a luxating patella, mild hip dysplasia and early signs of arthritis. This was 6 years ago and she's starting to feel it a bit now if she overdoes it. I want to get her a really nice bed, something really supportive to keep her as comfortable as possible. She prefers to sleep curled up, with her head raised and plenty of support around her. She'd a lab, but quite small.

I'm looking at this bed: www.argos.co.uk/product/1668269?store=4228&cmpid=GS001&_$ja=tsid:59156|cid:598623051|agid:29904243445|tid:pla-192313382245|crid:100241664085|nw:g|rnd:17518781970778083729|dvc:m|adp:1o7&gclid=CMGFq_fBz9MCFeUp0wodKmQGw - any thoughts.

I'm also looking at flectabeds for when the weather gets colder, what are people's opinions on them?

Anyone got any other hints and tips? She'd on you move tablets which seem to help.

We had an arthritic lab, she was a big dog too and had a solid memory foam bed in the end. We got hers from these

We found a solid slab of foam worked much better than the cheaper beds that have chips of memory foam in. The bed above is fab because it doesn't get smelly or go mouldy underneath from where they get warm in bed.

Thanks Jane, we have a memory foam mattress for her but she rarely goes on it, I suspect because it's flat. She prefers to curl up on my beanbag actually! She's struggling to get on to it now as the. Beans shift about.

Bellagoth, have a look at pet fusion beds. Expensive but solid quality and very comfortable, memory foam plus raised sides. Don't get all sweaty underneath like some. Our little girl was happy enough in her crate but when big bed turned up..no contest. We find her most mornings relaxed, paws to the air in true doodle style and she shoots straight in at night.

Take a look at Orvis, they have some great beds

Our ancient Staffie has a bed like a big felt tent, he loves it and has a selection of old dog bed cushions inside that he arranges himself to get comfortable - often pulls two together to rest his head on.
