We will be adding a year old Labrador to our family in the next few weeks.

Would be grateful for some ideas for bowls - ideally something easy to keep clean, use and that minimises water spills etc.

Thanks!

We have Mason Cash ones. They are cheap and weighty so they can't be pushed around.

We've got a slow feeder Grin not the easiest to clean etc. but it stops ddog belching away!

Mason Cash ones for water, stood on some nice ceramic plant pot saucer things to catch any drips/splashes.

Stainless steel for food, bog standard ones for three of them and a slow feeder type one for DWhippet1.

Both really easy to clean (I often just chuck them in the dishwasher), hygienic, don't absorb any smells (I've found some plastic bowls do) and last for ages.

I have a Road Refresher, stops them dripping water all over the floor from their chins (not sure if dogs have chins but you know what I mean!)

Mine eat from Mason Cash as they're heavy and don't move much.

I tried putting the water in a Mason Cash bowl as well, but they much prefer a shiny stainless steel one!

I hate plastic bowls.

Mason Cash bowls here as well, nice and heavy and don't move around and we have a plastic mat under them to try and catch some of the drips. DDog won't eat/drink from stainless steel ones.

Mason cash for water; basic stainless steel for food ... I have couple of plastic ones for travelling but they're annoyingly as move around/ tip over/ get a bit chewed etc

Thanks everyone - my only worry with the mason cash ones is how breakable they are?

With 4 little people, we're not exactly the most delicate household!

We also have a slow feeder as our greedy lab was wolfing food down from a standard bowl so fast he would then vomit it straight back up ! Slow feeder fixed this immediately

I just adopted a GSD and got her two of these for food and water www.dfordog.co.uk/wall-mounted-raised-dog-bowl.html

It won't stop water splash/dribbling but you can put it on any masonry wall and it is out of the way and can be put at any height that suits the dog.
