Does your dog hate their flea and worm treatment?

My established dog always seems a little off colour after his monthly flea treatment (endectrid, from the vets) and will try to get away when it is being applied. I spoke to some other dog owners whose dogs reacted the same and who thought it was the smell they didn't like. I used it on my new dog yesterday for the first time and she's not eating this morning. I'm not overly concerned (we've actually been to the vets this morning to have a stitch removed) as I think it will pass but obviously I'd rather she felt better. Do your dogs react like this?

Mine doesn't like it, she tries to rub away but it doesn't seem to affect her eating or anything. She is extra barky today though so maybe she reacts vocally it'd be a blessing today if she got more subdued

*run not rub.

Lol at your barky dog, Sausage! Mine was much better by the afternoon, how was yours, Setterlover?

Nope, he gobbles it up like it's cheese Grin I can't remember what ours is called but it's a squishy tablet from the vet. Possibly beginning with N.

We have advocate spot-on (flea and worms including lung worm) monthly and ddog doesn't mind it going on (but he doesn't mind most things) but after he seems a bit zoned out just sits and watches us.

He also gets Mibemax wormer (for tapeworm) every 6 months and is okay with that one.

Ours never likes it. I put advocate on before a walk to distract her. Then she also gets the 6 months tab from the vet. I've never noticed a change in mood, and her initial reaction goes immediately with distraction.
