Cone of shame

Hi, we managed to get the cone of shame on my puppy and then she went mad like a bucking bronco and shook it off. How doesn't anyone manage to keep the cone on? TIA

Depending on what the cone is protecting, could you find a medical pet t-shirt? They do them for leg wounds as well as others so that may well work better.
