Naming the shih tzu puppy

We cannot agree on a name for the puppy we are getting in a few weeks. DD13 has decided he shall be called Pickles but we aren't sure, I think it could work as Pickle.
I like the name Ralph.
DH says he isn't going to shout " pickles" in the park.

what do you think?

The name Ziggy comes to mind, I don't know why.

Ziggy was on our original list but DD hated it.

Ralph, love it. Pickles is a cute puppy name, but at some point Pickles progresses to the park, chasing his ball, at which point 'Here Ralph, good boy Ralph!' sounds to me better than 'Here Pickles, good boy Pickles, Piiiiiiii-ckles, come baaaaaack!'

I think I prefer Ralph from your list op it's just I associate it with Judy Bloom's Forever

We also have Bertie and Dylan on the short list. Only problem is the short list keeps getting longer!

Bertie! Love it. It was the name of my first dog and he was just ace in every way.

We have a Bertie, she suits her name
What about Buzz? It was on my short list.

We have a shitzu x Lhasa apso. He's a gizmo. He really suits it. Lovely dogs.

We struggled naming our shih tzu too! Ralph is a fab name, here's a photo of our cutie Jasper .. (best cuddle dogs ever, he'd a living teddy bear and will do anything for a biscuit 😀) enjoy your new puppy xx

Thanks Molly, I'm sure she will mount a Pickles campaign.
She tried to get our Labrador to choose the name by writing the 2 choices on pieces of paper, putting them on the floor and seeing which he went to. Little did we know that dd had sellotaped a big tasty treat to the back of the one with Pickles written on it!
