Hard to tell about the bigger one, it just looks like a big scab. The smaller one could be a tick head stuck in the skin though.

I would say if they are both new they probably are ticks/tick bites. Can you get to a vet?

My dog got a tick last month, on holiday, google it. You can just pull it out with tweezers. That's all the vet will do. If you get it some flea and tick treatment (off the vet is cheaper) and this will keep them off the poor dog.
