Dogwalker insurance - does dog need to be insured too?

A question for dog walkers or users of dog walking services - if a dog walker has insurance, do the dog's owners have to also have their dog insured for the dog walker's insurance to be valid?

This was said to DM by a dog walker but it doesn't sound right. Surely, the dog walker's insurance is valid in its own right?

Anyone?

I don't know, but I'd Imagine the dog walking insurance would require the dog to have insurance - otherwise it would cost a fortune, how could they quote for emergency medical cover for an unknown number of dogs of unknown breeds without having any medical history.
