We're picking up a rescue tomorrow! Yes I have pics!

We lost our beloved 13yr old Yorkshire Terrier tomorrow and to my absolute Stoke of gold we are rescuing a 6 month old boy Yorkie tomorrow morning. Beyond excited.

Best of all he's potty trained and can do some basic commands so I don't have to deal with a lot of the shit that is a puppy.

His name is Monty, I'm in love!

I'm in love with him too and I've just seen the photo. He is gorgeous. I had to say goodbye to my wee old Yorkie 7 weeks ago. He was 16 and I'm still not over it. I hope you have many happy years with your adorable boy.

Thank you both. I will put some more pictures up tomorrow once he's home. He obviously won't replace my Harvey but I'm sure little Monty will mend our broken hearts.

Lucky little Monty: sounds like he's landed on his paws coming to a loving and experienced home.
He'll be there in his kennel this morning, not knowing what his day has in store- off to his forever home.

All of our dogs have always been rescues (our cats too) and I can't imagine how shitty my life would eb without them - even if I was evicted from my own bed at 4.30 this morning so the dogs could cuddel with the other half

He's absolutely gorgeous. How did he end up in a rescue so young? He's obviously fallen on his feet with his lovely new home.

Well it's a bit of a sad story to be honest. Monty lived at home with his dog mum and dog dad and human mum and human dad. Unfortunately the human dad has been diagnosed with a terminal illness and thus they were always at the hospital, leaving the dogs for up to 7-8 hours at a time. Totally wasn't fair. They didn't want to put him up on a pet selling site in case any dodgy people got hold of him. So he went to a rescue. Sadly really. I couldn't have all 3 of them of course

That's so sad Op but well done to his human mum and dad for making the right decision. Did the two other dogs also go to the rescue centre? Your photos are lovely and he is so obviously going to be very happy with you.
