I was going to drive to woods, walk dog, and then go supermarket shopping leaving dog in car, take lead off first.

Now it is raining so my plans may change.

Do you regularly do this. Last time I did this I wasn't long but I am not happy doing this as dog is 3 and not yet used to being left in car

I leave my two Goldies in the car whenever I nip into Tesco. I wouldn't leave them to do a big shop but as we usually call in the shop on the way home from a 2 hour walk they just sleep.

Yes but not in warm weather he is safer at home. Ddog is in a crate in the back of a touran under the extended parcel shelf type thing. It's very dark and cool in there and he's much happier that the previous car where he could see out. Now the weather is warming up I won't donut at all.

I'd be more worried about them getting pinched than anything else. Well and the fact they don't like being in the car!

So no I wouldn't.

Yep - all the time. Obviously leave windows open a crack, leave him with water and park somewhere cool/ give him a blanket if it's cold etc. Etc.

I do it because I'd rather not leave him on his own at home unless I really have to - if the choice is 3 hours at home or 2 hours with me and 1 in the car snoozing (for example) I'd always take him.
