Desperate times - puppy arriving in next few days and we cannot agree on a name!!!! The only ones we like our friends already have and it would just be too complicated! Any suggestions welcome - its worse than naming the children.....!!!! He is a red fox labrador and a very handsome one! At least its taking my mind off christmas....!!!!!

Thanks so much for all the ideas - we got him yesterday morning and he just looks like a Rufus! We love him so much already but it's a definite life changer isn't it??!

He's beautiful and definitely a Rufus! It's certainly a life changer but I can't tell you the miracle our lab has worked with DS who was so petrified of dogs he had a years worth of counselling. Enjoy your boy!

Thanks Sidsgranny - that's really good to hear. My Dds love him so much - I think I'm just so sleep deprived and constantly cleaning up accidents I feel like a serious case of baby blues!! It gets better though right???!

I felt like that too silverlining, just a few days after we got our cockapoo, I remember sitting thinking "what have we done?!!!" - never had a dog before etc etc but I got on these threads and read through a few and realised that I didn't need to be perfect that we would work it out - there's plenty of info on here, chatting with friends with dogs etc made a real difference. He's only 7 months now - we still have the odd accident but he's made such a wonderful difference to family life ... so yes it definitely gets better, even better than better!

Rufus is perfect for him. Gorgeous.

SilverLining · 30/12/2015 19:14

Thankyou - we think it's perfect for him too! And so glad I'm not the only one who has found it a scary business!! Day 4 and I'm not quite so anxious....!!! Thank you for making me feel better!!!!

Going through early days too - just coming out of puppy blues. I had it last time too and it is well documented on here Smile

He is absolutely gorgeous.

And definitely a Rufus!
