dog won't eat or drink....

yesterday morning she was trying to we but couldn't. took her to vets and she has cystitis. She is about 11 years old (we are not sure as she was a rescue dog). But she won't eat and won't drink. She had some scrambled egg this morning and she will drink milk. The thing is if she does not eat she looses strength in her back legs.

How do i get her to eat???????

When my old dog wouldn't eat I made her something which, in the ferret-keeping circles, is called 'duk soup'.

Basically you boil up some chicken (no bones) until it's all cooked and falling apart. Then take it off the heat and add some of your dog's normal food to absorb some of the residual water. Blitz it all together into a fairly gross mush, and serve slightly warm.

Cook her something she likes.
Try chicken most dogs love chicken.
When my old dog wouldn't eat I would make him a thick chicken soup with small chunks of chicken in it, he loved it.
