How to keep my mad puppy calm after spaying - ideas please!!

Our six month border collie was spayed yesterday. She is back to being mad as a brush and we are finding it so difficult to keep her calm. She has been caught digging a hole, jumping on sofa and chasing her toys. Ideas please to keep her calm!!

My dad's previous dog also a collie was exactly the same split her stiches twice, first time within 1 hour of leaving the vetsas she tried to run up steps.
He tried everything even calming tablets that didn't work,he just had to keep her confined to the living room constantly being watched and only out on a short lead till she had healed.

Is she crate trained? Some spells in a crate with a frozen stuffed Kong or similar would work her brain a bit and hopefully tire her out. Some gently training exercises like targetting as well would tire her using her head rather than body.
