Would goats milk help build up an underweight elderly dog

Little old collie dog. Estimated to be 10 ish. Has a very week back end. Possible injury to one back leg. Rescue think it is an old injury. She has been seen at vet unitially when picked up as stray but not x rayed or anything. Resue want her to settle in a home before putting her through more trauma but she will have a full mot as soon as settled.
In the meantime i wondered about ways of building her up. She has muscle wastage around back leg which is why they think old injury. Manages short walks.
She will get good quality meals little and often. A warm bed and plenty tlc. Just wondered if introducing a little warm goats milk might help. My two love it as a treat.

Anyone know if this would help? Or suggest anything else?
