Do you buy your ddog Christmas presents?

It's Eric's birthday on Christmas Eve and so I've bought him a new bed as he now prefers to sleep in a bed than on the sofa. I've also bought a stocking that I'll fill with some treats and a toy. Of course dd's will buy him gifts and dh no doubt will so I'm guessing he'll end up with quite a stash. Tell me we aren't the only family buying gifts for the dog this Christmas. Mind you the hamster Sophia gets a stocking too Blush

Yes, he has his own stocking and I've been filling it with bits for the last month Blush

I also took him to our local pet bakery for his birthday and got him a birthday biscuit. He is very spoiled.

Always get her a new toy. Dd picked it this year, so it's a pink bone (dd is quite traditional when it comes to dog toys - always wants to get her different shades of bone.)

Of course! They are part of the family and we all love watching them tear the paper off to get to their new toy or a pigs ear!
A special chew each also keeps them busy while we are all eating Christmas lunch to avoid them either trying to scrounge food or hovering up stuff the family drop that either may be toxic for them or lead to over-eating (all three are slightly overweight and currently on diets!)

Our two cats will get Christmas gifts. We also give our friends dog a present.

My two get loads of stuff. They love ripping open the wrapping paper :-) They do all our gifts for us if we don't stop them, lol.

Yes of course I do!
He is my most faithfull companion - he deserves a present

ErrolTheDragon · 02/12/2014 19:57

Of course! Mostly it's Schmackos, which he gets all the time anyway but he adores them and he really does love opening his presents. We wrap his in lots of newspaper. I might get him a new collar too this year. Maybe if the weather's nice I'll wrap up one of his bones - he's only allowed those in the garden.

Just a reminder which I'm sure none of you need - if you leave presents under the tree or in a pile on the floor, make sure there's no chocolate down there.

No, neither do the rats, cats or hamster.
