Anyone want to talk about Border terriers ?

I like many breeds and love many dogs but Borders I think are current favourite for temperament and just all round friendly , sociable , lovely dogs (who are small dogs , but think they are big )

I have two - they are fantastic. Good with children , good guard dogs , and also just lovely at sitting on your lap .

I don't want to argue with others who have different breeds , but anyone else like Border Terriers. ? (Can you tell I'm having a Border moment with my boys ? )

I have a just 8 week old BT called Toby. He is already house trained (bar the odd accident) and can sit and is pretty good on his recall. He is a real bundle of energy and soooo cute!!

Pass - what a lovely face . And I bet s/he does that really cute cocking head and ears when you speak to him/ her thing.

Also Lego - he sounds great but just to say no terrier will ever be brilliant on recall they are chasers . that said , Toby is such a great name for a BT .

I'll try and get a photo of mine - but Lego - if yours is 2 months old then you must give me no further details lest I try to steal him (that is a joke ) But a 2 month old floppity Border - how much more cute can it get.

I don't have one but I have met a few lately.

The most recent was at a dog shoe yesterday he was such a lovely little chap and took a great shine to my little girl JRT.
They flirted with each other for a good 20mins while their doggy parents were engrossed in an unbelievable well trained lab

Maybe if I am extra lucky my next senior rescue will be a border (in the far off future) Xx

I'm another one owned by a BT. Best dogs ever in my not at all biased opinion!
