Tough tuggy recommendations for terrier pup

We got a 9-month-old rescue JRT a couple of weeks ago, and unlike any dog we've had before, he adores toys. His favourites are anything tuggy, and I splashed out on a dental Kong on a rope thing, thinking it would last. Two days later he'd shredded the rope to buggery. I've had terriers for over 30 years, but I'm a bit of a toy novice. What can I get that will survive a good chewy play?

I gave up on bought tuggies when lab was a pup as they were destroyed in a few minutes. Instead made them from old jeans, they lasted a lot longer and he would chew on them for ages. Use fabric doubled and tie a couple of v tight knots

I've had some success with a long snake toy with no stuffing and fleece tuggers.

I make them out of fleece, they are brilliant and the dogs love them.

I have given up expecting anything to be terrier proof! Expensive stuff is gone in hours too so I now choose based on how dispoable the cost is!

Thanks everyone. That fleece tug looks lovely; unfortunately DS2 and I share a degree of cackhandedness that meant we watched the fleecetuggy video open-mouthed, as if it were demonstrating some kind of advanced magical legerdemain. I can probably manage to rip up old jeans though.

My lab has always loved removing the zip from old jeans, he spends hours carefully nibbling and tugging till its all out in one piece then he gives it to me, waits to be thanked, then loses interest in it. Same with the studs.
