Quick, help me find a rescue puppy NOW!

My sister is about to pay £800 fucking pound for a lab puppy.

Like, about to put a deposit down.

I'm trying to talk her into a rescue pup, but it'll need to be 8 weeks old.

A breed like a lab/retreiver/spaniel etc.

She won't have a lurcher or staffie yes I've tried

Help me quickly find some choices!! I'm googling like mad here!

sos animals uk - they bring them in from spain. They specifically match you to puppies (and older dogs) which fit your criteria.

I got one last year after our local rescue centres refused to rehome to me with 2 young children. Our puppy is adorable, and very used to walking on a lead :)

Look at Loot, Flamingo, Sparkle, Limbo, Lime, Mirage, Smartie, Elf.

All puppies, mainly Collie or Springer crosses. There were over 20,000 Labradors registered with the KC last year, and God knows how many bred but unregistered. Is your sister going to 'show' her dog, or will he be a working dog? If not, why on earth does she think she need a pedigree? Maybe that's the route to take. That is an awful lot of money for something as unpredictable as a dog - I'd want my Mutt to come Gold Plated and ready trained for that

The cost is due to hip and eye tests. There are much much cheaper pups out there, but they are usually BYB and not health tested. A lab without a hipscore is a disaster waiting to happen.

She isn't too fussed over pedigree, but people are charging fucking stupid prices for mutts and attaching a designer 'name' to the 'breed'.
