Will be looking after a friends dog overnight next week. Its a bit of a errand of mercy as she starts chemo the following week and has the opportunity of a night away.

Only thing is -I have two dogs of my own. They have met friends dog a couple of times. But only outside. There were a few minor niggles between one of mine and friends dog but this was because my dog was on a lead and a grouchy sod when on lead but otherwise sweet. My boys are jrts and friend has a springer. He is very sweet laid back dog tends to be submissive to other dogs.

My dogs sleep in our room.. one on bed one on floor so should I allow dog in room?

Im not hoing to get any sleep that night am I?

I look after lots of friends dogs when they are away as I am a crazy dog lady.

Generally I find everyone bumps along fine, even when I have had more than one extra. Plenty of exercise and plenty of nice chewy things helps (unless any of them are food aggressive), I tend to put down far more identical chew things than there are dogs, ie seven chews to three dogs usually results in peaceful chomping.

My dogs sleep in my room and I always allow other dogs too even if they are not usually allowed, they can sleep in a dog bed or on my bed, but only mine are allowed in my bed. I've never had any problems at night, they just settle and sleep, even when I looked after a young sbt who had been playing madly ask day with my dog, once it was bedtime she settled and slept.

It's very kind of you to have her dog, I'm sure it still be much easier for her to enjoy her night away knowing her dog is in safe hands.

Hi, I’m looking after a friends dog for a week. He’s coming to my house so a change of surroundings for him, will that upset him? I’m planning on bringing lots of his toys from home so he can still smell his home. Anyone any advice? I’m panicking, wondering what would happen if he gets restless in the night or something ?!? I’ll also be giving him daily walks and exercise. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks !
