Please tell me about a vet bed!

I keep hearing mention of these- can someone please tell me if they're a good investment? And if so, where is the best place to buy? Thanks

Its a kind of fleece/immitation sheepskin that can be washed at high temps and still remains fairly soft. Pets at Home sell it if you want to have a look, original vet bed is best.

I bought my latest lot of vet bedding from Vio Vet, but via their ebay sales rather than the website, as it was cheaper.

I actually bought the pink stuff to line my dd's festival wagon/trolley, as we knew it was going to be really wet when we went to a music festival last weekend and wanted something that would wick the moisture away and stay dry on top - it was and it did!

Here's a picture of it, lined with the vet bedding (half made and lacking bunting and extra fairy lights).

I just bought the vet bedding by the metre.

It doesn't come in a ready made bed, as far as I know. Vet bed is sold by the roll or piece. Bronte glen do good stuff. It is durable, pretty chew proof and warm. It washes well and dries in a flash in the open air.

I have it in the boot of the car, I have a litter of labrador puppies on it at the moment and my bigger girls have a piece in their comfy beds too. It goes on for years.

Just had a thought. I doesn't come in beds as such, but you can buy it ready cut into ovals to fit into plastic beds, if you have them. Both my boys have it in theirs.

It has outlasted all the other beds they've ever had, but can't for the life of me remember where I bought it now, as it was so long ago.

We also use it to line their travel crate - fantastic for beach holidays, as it dries super fast and the sand just shakes out of it once dry.

We have the bronte glen vet bed too in XL 100cm x 150cm sizes. Its really plush and comfy. Bought two lots so far.

Half of one goes the boot of the car (great for wet/muddy lab as it washes)

Another half is a perfect fit for his 42" crate

Another half is in the living room in front of the never on fire.

The last half was the first one he had and got chewed to pieces when he was a pup. But it did last a while, much longer than the 4 beds/dog mattresses he had before it. He did have a bit of a coughed up furball incident with the vetbed, after chewing too much, but only the once.
