What kind of dog do you have?

Mine is 40kg - good weight for him. Embarrassingly he had got to 48kg, but has lost 8kg over the last year. Skinny boy now!

He's a maremma (obscure italian breed) big and white. I adore him but he is bloody huge.

Maremma's are lovely ....... my dog is 58kg and is lean....Mountain dog - big soppy teddy bear, would love to sit in my lap every night.....but then I can't breathe.....

Yes he sheds. But loves being brushed so it is mostly under control. Just need those sticky rollers dotted around.

He's bloody lazy too. After a couple of miles he stops and looks at me in umbrage.

58kg is HUGE!

58kg is big as someone who regularly sees fit healthy dogs at 86kgs it's peanuts. I removed a pyo from a giant breed last week, the uterus weighed in at 2kg by itself.

We train with a young Newfoundland and it makes my dog look handbag sized :o

Oh yes- mine is a small giant.......he looks labrador size, compared with a leonburger, Saint Bernard, or a Great Dane...but I still sometimes think we're mad

We have a 53kg Newfie, she makes our two labs look tiny! Our old St Bernard was around 75kg at a her biggest.

My DDog is currently weighing in at 46kg and is still a puppy.

How do you find walking your big breeds? I trust her and she adores me and walks well on lead and recently on long lead but I'm still nervous of other dogs and in reality she "could" pull me over if she found a good reason.

I have two GSDs, each who are at least that in weight.

Only problem is one of them really believes he is a lap dog.

That's huge (and lovely), our pup weighed in at 15kg today. He's 18 weeks.
Going to be a big boy....
