Puppy in pain- handhold please

Crapsticks. Clover (10.5 weeks) was starting to muck about on dd's lap on sofa- she fell off onto her front leg and was crying
Couldn't weight bear so called out of hours vet- he called back and is in middle of field about to do a c section on a cow..
He's told us to keep her immobilised, obviously, and is due to phone back when he's done..
So worried she's broken her leg- it's a wooden floor

Since being carried around by DH, she is now sleeping in her bed- stopped crying. She managed to weight bear whilst trying to settle herself in a comfy position.
I am hoping pups, like toddlers, are fairly rubbery boned at this age??

I hope she's okay, the vet will be calling soon I'm sure.

I do think they are fairly "bouncy" at that age, but even a broken leg can be set.

Well despite us trying to keep her leg immobilised, she has awoken and walking about on it
She's limping slightly but not in any apparent pain- as in, she's not crying or yelping. Trying to jump up onto the bloody sofa

That's a good thing!

Don't think its broken - she wouldn't weight bear if it was. If it starts to swell quick just try and cool it down but try and keep her off it till the vet gets there (I know easier said than done)

Good to hear she's weightbearing again. Sounds like she's done something, but probably not a break.

My pup - now 11 months old - has had us convinced he'd broken a leg no fewer than three times in the last 8 months. He screamed like a banshee and held is leg up every single time and each time there was no serious or long-term damage. Mind you he's a Lurcher and they're often known for being great big wusses.

Hope she's ok and the vet is able to give you some reassurance.

Vet said it was more likely she was shocked (but could be a slight sprain) and that when puppies do something like that for the first time, they often react like that..
Obviously we will keep an eye but we have vets on Weds anyway for second jabs.
Poor little mutt- the crying was awful. Hasn't put her off the sofa though, where she is currently spreadeagled
