Training treats for an 8 week old puppy?

What treats do you use as a training reward for young puppies? We've been using tiny bits of cooked chicken so far but didn't know what else would be gentle on her stomach. Are pre-packaged puppy treats bad for them? TIA

The easiest thing to do is keep back some of their food from their meals - that and some chicken should give you plenty and then you can start adding more exciting stuff when they're old enough to go out.

We did bits of kibble, cooked chicken, tiny bits of cheese and cold sausage.

Any of the puppy training treats we tried he ignored.

My puppy hated the shop treats. Cheese was the winner with us!

To be fair more exciting for my dog is cheese, liver cake, hot dog and his favourite primula...but I'd not be giving them to a tiny puppy yet.

Thank you Grin
