They eat my bloody garden!

Does anyone else have a furry annoyance who gouges great chunks from their lawn?

We've two Rotties. They aren't the smartest creatures on the planet. Perfectly lovely, cuddly and what have you but they are utter idiots. We feed them kibble from our (very good) trainer. He's a police dog handler doubt that's relevant but he's awesome! their food is complete and balanced. It sings and whistles and does the fucking cha cha.

So, why do my stupid dogs insist on tearing huge mouthfuls of my grass up?! We tell them no. They do it anyway. Ordinarily, they are relatively well trained morons.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Eric digs holes in the lawn rather than eating the grass. His vegetation of choice is a dandelion though Our local park is covered in them, he comes home stained yellow because of the joy he gets from rolling in them and biting their heads off.

Dogs like eating grass. They just do. Especially sweet new spring grass.

My dog loves grass would probably eat it over sausages, my only complaint about it is when I have to manually remove poo from her bum as it's hanging out stuck to blades of grass [grim]
