But can be 4:30am, if we're not so lucky!!
We got our lovely new lab a couple of months ago as a companion to our 10 year old lab. She's 2 years this month, had a puppy before coming to us (got in pup by mistake) and was living in outdoor kennels at a breeders. She's settled in beautifully, is lovely with our older dog, has grasped housetraining within a few days and we all love her.
Except at 5:30am when she starts yipping, then barking. :-(
We've tried ignoring her, and that has improved it from 2:30am to 5:30am, but we just can't crack the last 30 minutes until it's morning walk time. We can't let her bark for long because of the neighbours, and we can't sneak down and catch her in the act as she hears us get out of bed and stops immediately, but starts again if we don't go down within a couple of minutes.
We're now seriously sleep deprived after 2 months of this so would appreciate any suggestions. Although I suspect we're just going to have to wait for her to settle over the next few months some more.
Any advice??
