Constipation after neutering - is this normal and what can I do to help?

Dog was speyed a week ago today, and has only done a poo twice since then, but, until today, seemed ok. She's not eaten as much as normal, due to not having as much exercise I guess, and she normally only goes once a day so I wasn't too worried. But this morning, she's been trying desperately to go, but all that seemed to be happening was a tiny bit of diarrhoea. When I went to clean her up after we got home, I realised there was a large, hard bit of poo kind of stuck >boak< which I've had to don rubber gloves and remove (she's long haired so didn't notice it til we got home) and she's been showered and cleaned up.

I'm guessing she's bunged up due to the anesthetic, as I know it has that effect on me, but is there anything I can give her to help things along? Without giving her the squits preferably!!

My two girls get constipated when in season. I feed them on a raw diet so I drop the amount of bones I give them. You could trygiving her raw chicken no bone, I can't guarantee it will work but is worth a try, but there is a chance it could also give her the squits also. Hope this helps.
