Advice on what to feed a neopoliton mastiff please

hello, I'm hoping someone can give me some advice please. We are adopting a neo mastiff from the dogs trust who is aged (they say) between 1-2yrs old. He's currently on wainwrights at the trust-is it best for him to stay on this? I've looked for advice on Internet but there is so much!

Any help would be very much appreciated, thank you in advance!

34DD - wow seven! So wag sounds like a good choice too...will have to go shopping now, thanks for the tip are French mastiffs known for their excessive drooling too?! We re planning on keeping towels in every room to minimise the splashing but he's so gorgeous we can't help but love him, drool and all!very excited at our new addition

Well we collected George on sat and he seems to have settled well, loves his walks and eating well!
Early days still and as new dog owners the family is adjusting to having a big baby, any advice from other mastiff owners or large breeds on keeping him happy, and occupied? We've got chew toys like Kong and things but want to make sure were doing the right thing..he know s basic commands but still looking to take him to obiediance classes.
Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance

That's the thing he is so soft but he's still a playful puppy with huge size advantage, he doesn't realise how big he is but my children (5&6) get a little anxious. We're trying to learn how best to let George know that when the kids squeal when he's jogging towards them and mouthing (sometimes)that they R not squeaky toys!

thank you obwnb..im going to talk to the kids tonight about action plans with George. He doesn't leap (thankfully!) but he kind of pushes towards them to get attention which makes them anxious...will work on this later with my youngest dd as she is the most anxious bless her. Thank U x

So we're 3 weeks in with our new addition george and its been overwhelming at times but he is such a lovely soft drool monster my next questions to my fellow mastiff/giant dog owners is regarding control...34dd, you say that you and your dh self trained all your dogs, do you have any hints tips? Such as walking with them? George is walked on lead but when out other people let their dogs who are off leash run up to him. Now while George is dog friendly other dogs may not be, what could I do if the other dog attacked? I've no doubt that my arm would be pulled from its socket but I just want some advice on how I can handle my pup of 60 kilos! He is trained already in basic commands but what can we do to improve on his skills?
There is so much advice on internet but fellow mastiff owners who have experiance will help us in a clear direction massively, so thank you for all your advice so far and thank you for reading this post!
