.........Posted too soon. She is due for her Milbemax wormer on Tues (3 mth intervals).

I've decided start using Advocate which is a combination of anti-flea and anti-worm.

Obviosuly, I cant use another flea treatment for a week or so. Do I not bother with the Milbemax, wait another couple of weeks and then use Advocate or will I be risking worm infestations?

At this time of year use frontline combo every 4 weeks. Pups should be wormed monthly till 6 months of age. If you want o protect against lungworms continue to use milbemax monthly or if this is not a problem in your area every 3months. Hope that resolves your confusion.

I want to stop using Frontline though and go onto Advocate which I believe is a combination of anti-flea and anti-worm (I know the only thing it doesn't cover is ticks but I'm not sure that's a problem where I live).

Advocate doesn't cover tapeworm. If you are switch to advocate you would be okay to wait a week, but you will need to use a tapeworm treatment every 6 months. This doesn't cover you for ticks.
No golden bullet I am afraid.
Since it got it's lungworms licence my preferred solution is milbemax monthly and then a flea and tick treatment inch as Advantix or Seresto (these prevent the ticks from attaching in the first place).
Hope this helps.
