My dog will only poo in our garden.

That's it really. We've got a 7 month old border collie and it will only shit in our garden. (Which is not that big).
Getting so fed up of it, how do we get it to stop.
We take it out for long walks all the time. It can wee quite happily anywhere but not poo!

The dog is out during the day with dp at work. (Outside).
It's becoming a joke that no matter how long you walk it for, it will always come back and poo in the garden-and it's not just once a day.

We live rurally and the dog is always out in fields and woods, but has only ever pooed in the garden.

Also have a border collie. At this age mine would only poo in the garden too. But he now poos in the garden and often on the way home from his walk (I say walk, I mean hour/hour and a half being run ragged in the park/field).

At least 2 big poos a day but they are tidy and easy to pick up, he is on Skinners working dog food with salmon. Good quality and quite cheap.

I was worried about him pooing when he went to boarding kennels YES I WORRIED but he was fine and pooed normally the kennel staff said he just found a little bit before they walked him and pooed there, collies like their routine don't they its hard to break it ime

My dog is the same and it drives me crazy mad. We live on a farm, he comes out and about with me all day, runs across 300+ acres, then comes home and poops in the garden. He's collie x springer and just over a year old - was hoping he'd grow out of it but not so sure now.

Did u ever resolve it? I got a 4 month old cocker and he’ll only shit in back garden. He’s meant to be coming to work with me but can’t take him cuz he won’t turd anywhere but back garden so spend all day farting and whining and end up having to leave him home. Obviously there’s a lot of people who don’t see it as a problem but it does my head in
