In the process of moving house and the new place has an open driveway and garden at the front. In theory I'd like her to be able to be out at the front of the house with the kids but she's only used to being in an enclosed garden. Her recall isn't great - I tend to keep her on the lead in unfamiliar territory and it can take a bit of effort to call her back if she has her nose to the ground.
Is it expecting to much to think that I could teach her to stay on the driveway ? And if it's possible how lol ?
She is very easy to train in terms of tricks, agility etc

It's not impossible, but it's very dangerous. All dogs forget their training at some point in their life or become engrossed in chasing dust bunnies and forget where they are. What if she does this the same moment a car is passing your drive?

Buy some gates and supervise in the garden.

Yep it is possible BUT I would strongly advise against it.

See the warning at the beginning of the video, you would not leave your laptop unattended in your front garden so do not leave your dog Smile
