How long to wait (leg injury) before going to the vets?

Puppy hurt his leg yesterday afternoon, i booked him in for the vets but he seemed a bit better after the school run (was baring weight but still limping a little but seemed happy), then last night he yelped a little when i touched it. This morning he is limping and not always baring weight on it (will run a little way and then hold it up again). Should i book him in for the vets this morning or leave it until this afternoon? He's resting in his crate.

OMG this puppy has turned out to be a money pit ! I'd try and get in this morning in case they want him in for X-rays .hope he's better quickly.

Thats the reason why i dont want to take him in , he does seem a little bit better now and is playing in the garden. I think its probably just bruised, he was playing with my other dog and she is built like a tank, she has a habbit of charging into other dogs so must have knocked him flying (not 100% sure as i didn't see it, just hered the cries) .

I would go on weight-bearing, if he's mostly using it normally and weight bearing well then I would think fine to skip seeing vet, just encourage him to rest more than he's inclined to.
