I used to have Dachshunds as a child. Standards a smoothie and a long-haired.

This time of year I always remember cutting the snowballs off the long-haired after his walk.

I'd one now but DH doesn't like dogs.

Tell me about your short-legged little buddies.

My mum had two miniature wire-hairs - the first was called Teckel! I remember taking him for a walk up to a cornfield at harvest time, and when he saw the rabbits running out of the standing corn he bayed like a bloodhound.

I don't think I have a photo of him, but this was our second dachsie, Duffy

wire-hairs are the best! big dogs in small bodies ;-)loyal, sociable, gutsy. mine makes me smile every day.
