We are adopting a dog from a rescue in Cyprus and her name is currently something fairly hard for the DC to pronounce - any suggestions as to a new one? She's a scruffy-looking golden creature but very cute.

Maggie...our beloved Golden Retrievor's (PTS today aged 13) nickname. Real nane Bailey but grew into Maggie- Belfast expression- 'you're as thoughother as Maggie Moore' (sort of hints at scruffiness!) suited her...Xx

My first thought was 'Dolly' as in Dolly Parton.

I do like Gypsy - as long as you promise to post pics of her looking all windswept and well travelled Grin

Yddraigoldragon · 07/01/2013 19:39

Only one for a blonde bombshell.....Marilyn. Smile

LadyTurmoil · 07/01/2013 23:28

Gypsy is lovely although I suppose it makes me think of a Sophia Loren type or the girls from the gypsy encampment in From Russia with love rather than Marilyn.. what about Amy, Gina, Blondie, Macie, Pippa, Primrose

Scootergrrrl · 08/01/2013 13:43

Still at deadlock - have uploaded a couple of pictures onto my profile for inspiration!

What do we think of the name Duffy? Blonde and shaggy, although the real one is fairly classy. Can't bring myself to call her Jordan or Kerry Wink.
