It is just driving us barmy - the only thing that gets him riled is the Confused.com advert on the telly - even if he is sleeping it gets through to him and he is up barking at FULL volume at the tv - and he can't stop, it is like a hiccough or something just carries on for ages after with a buff, buff sound deep in his chest... he is a Westie and goes a bit daft if there are deer on tv - or giraffes (?!?) but apart from that he never barks.....

any others that bark at that ad?

My pug barks at horses on the tv. And dogs. Cats. Sheep. Cows. Fish.

She pretends to be asleep.....then she's like a tornado. I kid you not. A mini pug tornado.

Pugs arent meant to be yappy either. Lazy yes, quiet no.

The sponsor a snow leopard advert. Every time. Seems oblivious to all others animals on screen though!

judefawley · 03/01/2013 02:18

We had a Westie and she made a hole in the wall from leaping up at the tv.

Anything with animals at all and she'd be there in front of the screen. When 'Animal Hospital' used to be on, she knew the theme tune and would come haring in to watch it from wherever she was!

New dog goes garrety at the noise of sirens.

lol - I do think it is odd that it is just some things - just some animals too..... watched "Africa" last night and the dog had to go in the kitchen for the giraffe fight scene, he was that wired up and LOUD....

leopards, rhinos and lions, he sat oblivious, meerkats and birds, he sat watching 2 feet from the screen, giraffes he was stood barking his head off, stiff tail, looking at me every so often....

Interesting another Westie goes wild over confused.com advert.... wonder what it is???

Yes, one of ours goes mad at any animal. Even cartoon dogs and cats etc set him off. T'other one couldn't care less.

We're trying 'be quiet' command along with spray of water as we can't keep missing programmes we wanted to watch because 'Doug doesn't like them'!!

mrsjay · 03/01/2013 13:13

I cant watch Animal cops he goes nuts at the dogs barking, you should all teach you dog to speak well bark on command it is a work in progress with us he will do it and he is getting better at the shushing except for animal cops sigh
