Dog who won't eat?

We have a 5 year old cocker spaniel who for the last two nights has not eaten her tea. She is behaving normally and still has a very waggy tail! My first thought was that she may have a sore/upset tummy but she is still 'visiting the garden' normally and scavenging for dropped food under dd's highchair.

I tried soaking a handful of her dried food this morning and gave it to her soft and she ate it (she doesn't normally have breakfast but I was worried she'd be really hungry by now!). Toothache maybe? Dried food perhaps too hard.

Just looking for some advice really. DH not worried but I don't want to miss anything and risk having to take her to the vets over Christmas if she gets worse.

I have Jack Russells who sometimes don't eat for a day or two and I never really know why.

I'm sure if we didn't give them the milky cereal bowls after breakfast and the plates to lick before going in the dishwasher they'd be hungry enough for their own food all the time. But they just seem to not like dog food much. When they go off their food we stop giving them any human food at all and eventually they eat their own food and it kind of re-sets their appetite iyswim.

Btw our dogs are very slim, incredibly fit working terriers not fat pampered lap dogs before anyone berates me for giving them the plates to lick!

Would she eat plain rice? Ours will eat that if they have eaten something weird whilst out ratting and are a bit off colour. Also scrambled egg and a microwaved chicken breast cut into chunks.

We have a cocker x and she will not eat dried food at all. We feed her porridge for breakfast, meat for dinner and meat for tea, obviously everything in moderation. You may think she's really fat, but she's not, she's on the go the whole time and is a skinny little thing.

Thanks for the responses. She is still turning her nose up at food if you put it down dry but will eat the whole bowl full if you soak it first. I'm not too worried now as at least she is eating! If it continues though, maybe I'll take her to the vet next week in case it may be her teeth.
