Lost puppy - what to do?

DSD is on her way home with a stray puppy she found outside school, it's quite young apparently and has no collar. They've been knocking on doors to see if it belongs to anyone and so far no one is claiming it. I've said to bring it home if they can't find the owner.
What should I do if she comes home with it? We already have a dog (no idea how it will react to another dog coming into the house) and were not planning on another.

sorry naicedude cant do a pic as he isnt mine, but he looked like a black labrador type wee pup very cute

Beamur · 04/12/2012 17:14

Apparently he is a collie/staffie cross and I thought he looked a lot like a collie puppy - fluffy fur and floppy ears with a little white chin and bib. A real cutie!

He was great fun to have overnight, but my old dog looks hugely relieved he's gone.
