Somewhere to leave a puppy for the day near Norwich?

Hi, sorry for the probably idiotic question!

My puppy will be about 13 weeks at half term, we are going away for the week and he will come with us.

Problem is we were planning to stop in Norwich for the day on the way to the coast, we have theatre tickets and the kids love going to the castle. I am not sure what on earth to do with the dog! He will be with us but I guess he is going to be too young to leave in the car for any length of time.

Does anyone know of somewhere wher I could board a dog for a few hours?

Thanks!

TBH, once you are travelling with a dog or puppy, I've found you just have to crack on with the journey.

We've got 2 dogs, and have only ever broken a car journey to let them out for a wee and a drink, not because we fancied a bit of sightseeing.

Leaving a young puppy somewhere strange for a few hours doesn't strike me as being a great idea either as the dog will probably find it stressful.

I will ask my parents where they board their dog and pm you - hang on

Don't know of anywhere in Norwich itself - there are boarding kennels on the outskirts. The one I use (6 miles out) has a minimum stay of 24 hours (if not staying 24 hours you just have to pay as if you are)

  • any kennel will insist on seeing up to date vaccination card as well as kennel cough.
