What clothes does your dog have?

I have a greyhound, and he has a housecoat, a lightweight mac, and a fleece lined waterproof coat. He also has a woolly snood for when it's really cold!

Christmas coat?

What size would these be in? I think a nice Whiggy sized Christmas coat just might sell well, don't you?

LittleDog has loads

He has cotton or flannel pyjamas for when it's cold at night- he sleeps in bed with me but still needs them. He also has some fleecy ones for when it's really cold.

He has some animal onesies - bumblebee, ladybird, frog (on my profile), cow, pig, lamb, bear, rabbit, and giraffe. He also has a very fetching bright pink velour 70's style track suit.

Mostly he wears onesies from an eBay seller 'hellokittycomeon', who sells gorgeous ones that look like dungerees with a top.

He's also got a few coats, including a flying jacket which looks great with his Doggles, and Father Christmas and an elf suit for Christmas Eve/Day.

It's not as bad as it sounds, he's half Yorkie, half Chinese Crested, we think. Nobody really knows, but he's rather deficient in fur so it would make sense. Being very small and half naked means he finds it v hard to keep warm, so I get to indulge in dressing him.

Mine have an Equafleece jumper each, in serviceable black, for drying them off after racing. Couldn't recommend them more, the fabric wicks away the wet and they are quickly dry and warm underneath.

Personally I hate to see dogs in clothes I just don't get it, a fleecy coat perhaps but not t shirts or Santa outfits

Thin skinned/inadequately furred dogs, particularly small ones, find it difficult to keep warm. That's why LittleDog wears clothes.

Me too other, I even cringe at Build A Bear bears wearing clothes.

BUT if the dog is naked or has very thin skin and fur then it can be excused. If your dog has to wear clothes then you may aswell make them seasonal ones!

No clothes for my dog. I don't think he'd be very impressed! But then he does like to lie out in the snow in the winter so I'm fairly confident he is warm (he's smooth coated, but with a waterproof outer layer and a very fine inner layer of fur). My great aunt had whippets with winter coats, but they were really like horse blankets rather than clothes.

We do have a special night time collar that dh calls his 'disco lights' - it has a LED cord that flashes clockwise around it's length.

My two Jack Russells are far too hard for clothes. Well, Wilma is hard but Fred is a great big poofter sensitive little soul who might quite like a nice jacket.

There's a guy 'round here who dresses his terriers in baseball caps with an elastic band that goes under the jaw/neck. It's just thick and cruel.

Bandanas are borderline too imo.

None I have a Heinz 57, hounds crossed with terriers and a Doberman! Reasonably hairy (sheds) and a nice layer of insulation, (not over weight) thing is he point blank refuses to go out for a walk if its cold or wet! Really hates getting his paws wet and if its windy he just refuses to walk. Really placid dog, even good at the vets (he licked her when she was poking around his broken toe!)
Likes the warmth will lay under the radiator/fire or in the smallest slither of sun!

Try telling that to LittleDog. Would you seriously take a dog with no fur worth mentioning outside in the winter? It would be as cruel as taking a child out in vest and pants.

Whiggy is tiny and totally fat free with a very, very fine, sleek coat. Sighthounds don't do cold.

My terrier is half bald due to a previous skin condition, however regular combing and his nice new shampoo seem to be encouraging his coat to grow thicker, so maybe this winter he won't shiver so much and he won't need a coat.

I don't have a dog but I had to add that the only dog in clothes that I've ever seen and thought was OK was a tiny little dog (not sure of breed but small, weak looking thing) in a black T-shirt with 'SECURITY' emblazoned across the back.

lady dog has a fabulous diamante collar for special occasions; boy dog has a large dark blue velvet bowtie on elastic.

They both have their own magnificent, rippling black coats that make them look like they're sporting those enormous Dennis Basso faux fur jackets on QVC, complete with speckly ermine spots underneath, so no need for extra outerwear.

Do very cool house collars count? I also bought a very nice brown bridle leather lead and sighthound collar; I use it more often than I use the car so I figured I'd get a nice one.

He's an ex racer, whose former life has taken its toll on his bones. He needs to keep warm so his joints don't seize up! That's my excuse anyway.

SpicyDog has a Hurtta insulated raincoat for sub zero and snow days. She hates it almost as much as she hates the snow and people laugh at her in it .
